In the end, consider setting a price around $500 to match the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers. Even though the company might raise it back to $600, it would still be appealing if it drops to something like $550. Just thinking through the numbers.

These are early VR devices, and I'll hold off on investing until the market develops further.

These resemble early adopter products. They’re costly and represent the initial generation. When they begin to appeal to the general market, that’s when things become compelling.

Budget plan: around 400 €. Everything ready for a potential purchase. Just confirm before proceeding.

I understand the situation, the decision isn’t perfect but improving could benefit everyone. It’ll likely take time before VR becomes more affordable. Personally, I own an HTC Vive and use it regularly.

If the cost drops, it could simply indicate they’re getting rid of stock ahead of their upcoming VR headsets. To be honest, the price remains far too steep for everyday buyers, meaning it’ll likely stay a specialized item in the near term.

No focus on the resolution. Efforts are being made to enhance tracking, sensing, and reduce the price of components via production and scaling. VR is far from being fully mainstream yet.

Moreover, the game support is important. A $300 Vive with all the extras sounds great, but will I actually use it for virtual painting games and shooter demos for years? Probably not. I’m more interested in playing as Lara Croft or an assassin character climbing a mountain—though I’m not really afraid of heights, I get my point across!
