Oculus Quest 2 versus HTC Vive Pro – a comparativa VRcompare indica que o Vive Pro é en grande parte uma versão inferior.
Being tied to a PC limits flexibility but boosts performance and precision with the Vive Pro tracking features. However, the overall experience feels significantly reduced compared to other options, just as @Blasty Blosty mentioned. Lower resolution, slower refresh rate, fewer subpixels—definitely not something I’d choose.
You're talking about a specific component. Which one are you asking about? It still lacks flexibility. Carrying a bulky backpack offers minimal performance boost and a poorer viewing experience across any PC setup. I really wouldn't recommend it. This isn't a worthwhile purchase at all. You could get a Quest 3 for that price and notice real improvements over the Quest 2 (significant ones). Or you might decide to wait and see what the Steam Frame's future value will be.
That setup seems to be a mobile 1070, which typically performs okay but struggles with modern VR demands. At around $300, it doesn’t offer good value for today’s standards. These headsets are quite old, the backpack is mostly impractical for its purpose, and it has limited battery life plus a heavy build. It’s better to look for something newer or keep an eye on future updates.
I used the zinwa q25 conversion board last week and it’s been working fine so far. The only issues are with RCS and Google Pay because they need a brand new device to support those features. You could root it and turn it on, though. That device didn’t seem too much of a problem since I was early and had a working bolt.
