I own a brand new HP Omen 30L just five days old at the time of writing (8/11/21). I've reset the BIOS, updated drivers via Windows updates, and adjusted the keyboard settings to wake the system from sleep. Still nothing happens. The only solution I've found is disabling sleep mode completely. When it does go to sleep, all lights dim normally, but after a minute of inactivity the rear fan turns on at high speed. Then I can't wake it up with the keyboard or mouse. The power button doesn't work at all, and I'm left with no choice but to unplug and plug it back in to get it working again. Please help me, I've tried everything.

It might be the hardware not functioning well during sleep. On every PC I use, I disable the auto-sleep feature since the sleep function isn't reliable, so I keep it off.

Talk to an agent on HP support. They resolved the issue on my 30L OMEN remotely. It seems my Windows was corrupted, so I updated the Nvidia driver. No longer experiencing problems with putting my PC to sleep. Previously, I had to unplug it from the wall before doing the same.
