Upgraded from a GTX 970 to 1080
Tarkov now runs poorly, everything seems okay until I see another player or NPC and fire, then the game crashes completely
Tested on other titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, it works without issues
Kept an eye on the hardware, during lag spikes both CPU and GPU usage hit zero percent (CPU temps: 54°C, GPU: 70°C)

I don't play Tarkov, but someone once said it dislikes multithreading. AMD SMT works better than Intel's, but neither really liked it. It seemed like a surprising point, though turning off hyperthreading in the BIOS might help.

Alao, after upgrading your GPU, did you adjust textures?

According to Google, the game is extremely CPU-intensive and may lead to CPU issues; you can verify this by checking your CPU usage in Task Manager.

I discovered the issue and resolved it. The paging file was incorrectly assigned to the HDD rather than the SSD, but after switching it, everything works smoothly. Appreciate your help!

Would 16gb of memory resolve the issue too? I don't want to rely on swapping to the SSD...

Sadly, others with 32gb DDR4 are facing the same issue, my 8gb wasn't fully utilized and it seems to be mainly a paging problem.
