I just installed a custom-built PC and got a Seagate Barracuda 2TB SSD. When I power it up, it emits a few beeps before stopping, but the drive isn’t being recognized. It’s telling me it might lack sufficient power, though I ran a test and my system isn’t reaching the 750W supply I have.

Hello there! Is the beep coming from the motherboard or the hard drive? If it’s from the HDD, that noise means the motor isn’t starting properly—something I’ve noticed with many Seagate drives before. Try moving it to a different SATA power connector and check if it helps. If not, the drive is likely dead—consider returning it and choosing a different brand.

He tried various cables but it seems the issue comes from the HDD. If unplugged, there’s no beep. For gaming, I’d suggest using a reliable gaming PC with the best components available.
