It seems they are handling it well as well. On Steam, Microsoft is expected to earn a significant amount of money.

Eh, I'm not complaining... a system that only sells because it keeps games hostage doesn't deserve to exist.

They possess windows, ensuring continued income when others shift to PCs. Also, I'm certain consoles don't generate as much revenue as games.

For Halo enthusiasts who've longed for Halo on PC yet couldn't access it officially, I might pass. I haven't played Halo in over 30 minutes since 2009, but at least it's cool.

There isn't a tech news post for this because it doesn't meet the criteria.

This was the initial technology update before someone relocated it.

In the final days of the Xbox 360, they dominated the console battle. The 360 outperformed the PS3 significantly. I’m hoping the upcoming Xbox will perform better against the PS5. Microsoft controlled the 7th Generation console, but PC remains the stronger option.

When you engage in gaming on an Xbox, Microsoft earns revenue from several sources. This includes the initial cost of the system, a share of the game's price (or the entire amount if it's published by them), the recurring online subscription fee, and other related charges. In contrast, with a PC, Microsoft primarily profits from game sales through platforms like Steam, receives a significant portion of those sales, and does not generate income from online play or hardware purchases unless you specifically bought a surface laptop. In reality, your spending on Windows—whether with or without purchasing games like Halo—adds little extra revenue for Microsoft. Overall, it's clear that playing on Xbox tends to yield higher earnings for the company.
