The Halo: Master Chief Collection is launching for PC.
It's been rumoured for months and even years that Halo would be making a return to the PC for Halo Infinite. I think we all hoped that they would release the other Halo games on PC, reignited by Halo Wars 2 being available on both Xbox and PC. Now we have confirmation the Chief is back to finish the fight. All we need now is RTX support, right?

Halo is expected to perform well on Steam, which is nice since it wasn't made exclusive to the Microsoft Store.
There has been a shortage of strong first-party titles compared to the PS4, so Microsoft is focusing on entering multiple markets. They are also launching a Game Streaming service, aiming to let you play on almost any device—similar to how Netflix operates. The consoles remain the main platform, but games will be accessible on nearly everything.
Additionally, Microsoft is forming an anti-Sony partnership with Nintendo. This means Nintendo games will likely be streamed on Xbox Service as well. This benefits Microsoft by integrating more microtransactions into the Xbox experience. The new mobile version of Fortnite shares your account with the Xbox and PC versions, allowing you to purchase in-game purchases directly from Xbox. This strategy unifies the ecosystem and spreads Xbox usage across different platforms.
The Xbox team has shifted its strategy, acknowledging they are either second or third in each generation. The optimal approach is to identify a niche that aligns with Nintendo, enabling access to top-first-party developers and strengthening the partnership. This is particularly relevant since Microsoft's performance in recent releases is notably weaker compared to its rivals.
The distinction between the next-gen Xbox and a PC remains unclear according to ASF.
I’ll be happy to accommodate even a one to two month delay for the new halo.
