I purchased an H100i V2 and am facing difficulties with the mounting process. I placed the standoffs into the original backplate as indicated. After following the usual steps, I encountered trouble with the thumbscrews—trying to screw them in causes excessive spinning instead of proper insertion. The Corsair software shows around 31 degrees, but the temperature readings are in the 60s-70s. Anyone have suggestions or alternatives? My thumb screws don’t seem to fit the standoffs well.

Verify the correct spacing for your CPU. The H15i documentation wasn't very clear. Using incorrect spacers won't let you properly fit the cooler, leading to poor temperatures.
