i managed to successfully overclock my msi gt 730 with 4gb ddr3 at 200mhz, reaching a total of 900mhz. however, after some time—around 45 minutes—it starts to drop to 450mhz and becomes stuck. the only solution is to restart the pc. am i just overclocking the card too much and it’s failing? or is there a glitch? any advice would be appreciated. additionally, it isn’t heating up enough to trigger thermal throttling.

Did you verify its stability through stress testing?

Run Loop Unigine Heaven until it fails or shows artifacts. Keep an eye on temperatures and voltage. Just because you didn’t reach thermal throttle limits doesn’t guarantee stability. My RTX 2070 maintains around +131Mhz. Any spike to +139 leads to instability, even though it stays under 80°C.
