The green and red lights on the motherboard won't activate.
Changed cases from the Hyte Rev 3 to a different mini ITX model and added the 700W IBUYPOWER PSU. The cables seemed too short, so I bought extenders from Asia. I got both 16 and 18 AWG cables but the system still won’t power on, only showing red and green flashing LEDs. I tried another PSU to verify the issue remains the same. Reset the CMOS battery, checked all connections, swapped both cables, removed and reinserted CPU and RAM. No success so far. I’ve uploaded a video showing the GPU removal for reference, as it worked before the case change. I’m sure nothing was damaged during the switch, but I’m still unsure what’s causing the problem.
Seems to be just the MB RGB LEDs for appearance. These are the important ones—when the PSU starts, the LEDs illuminate. If the PSU cycles and turns off, it might indicate an issue with a connection or the MB. Have you taken out the cable extensions? AWG refers to wire thickness, with 16 being thicker than 18. Thicker wires are usually preferable.
I’ll likely turn off the parts and focus on fixing it at the motherboard box. Experiment with various PSUs. This is something I’ve seen before—on Intel systems twice and once on Ryzen—where the PC won’t power up until I reinsert the CPU. By then, you might need a different motherboard. Using incompatible cables could damage either the PSU or the board in the worst case.
