I own a RTX 3060 graphics card that, when connected to my system via HDMI/DP and the graphics card, becomes stuck at the white light on the motherboard. After power cycling and connecting the HDMI cable to the motherboard, the system boots but the GPU remains unrecognized. The screen also goes black intermittently during this condition. If I disconnect the GPU from power and PCIE, the same issue persists. I cleaned the computer and tested it with me on-site, suspecting a loose connection or other hardware problem. I have tried reseating components, replacing RAM, GPU, CPU, and even unplugging everything, but CMOS reset didn’t help. Please advise if you can assist. This has never happened before.
transporting a pc isn't a fun idea, so i would remove the card check for damage, especially the pcb of the card. depending on the orientation of the pc case during transport, it can suffer damage from large vibrations, particularly if you hit a bump. it's less likely to be damaged if it was lying on its side.
Did you verify that the cable is properly connected at the PSU side, not only on the card?
It seems the GPU might have been damaged during shipping or the PCIe connection was faulty. Try using the GPU in a different PCIe slot if available on your board, and reattach the power cables at both the power supply and the card. If the issue persists, consider testing the GPU on another system to determine if the problem lies with the card or motherboard.
