He has an older pre-built system he acquired around 2013, originally with a stock setup. He wanted to upgrade his graphics card from 650 to 1050 Ti. After getting the new card, everything worked until driver installation caused the screen to go black and the machine became unresponsive. The only solution was a restart. Later, he needed help because the same issue appeared when installing drivers. I checked, tried a BIOS update, reinstalled drivers from NVIDIA, updated Windows updates, and even installed device manager updates, but still faced problems. The system kept showing compatibility errors for Nvidia drivers and a code 43 appeared in Device Manager. It seems the hardware and driver conflicts persist despite several attempts.

Use GPU-Z to verify it’s a genuine 1050 Ti and ensure it isn’t a firmware-hacked 550 Ti pretending to be one.
