Considering an upgrade to storage while using your second M.2 slot would place it behind the GPU. Would the GPU impact cooling performance? Your system uses a PRIME B650M-A AX6 II board with a 5080 graphics card, and you’re referencing a specific build at buildredux.com.

It seems his SSD is already in that slot, but he’s saying the secondary one is under the GPU. That’s a mix-up. Either way, it shouldn’t cause issues.

Who knows, OP isn't clear. There is a 3rd slot on the backside of that board too.

It seems the design might have allocated the second PCIe slot specifically for the GPU, though the guide doesn’t discuss how multiple PCIe lanes are shared among components.

Sure, the GPU is handling it just to make sure I won’t trigger any cooling issues or cause overheating of the surrounding area if I install one.

It's all good to proceed. My setup has one running on the GPU too.
