It seems your GPU suddenly began using nearly all its capacity without any apparent cause. This issue has appeared across multiple games—Overwatch, CS:GO, and GTA V—which you play regularly. On Overwatch, you usually maintain around 200 FPS, but during these spikes it drops to just 20 FPS or 14 FPS for a few seconds before returning. Previously, the PC would crash completely without any blue screen. You haven’t made any recent software changes or driver updates, and your hardware has been in use for two years. I noticed the NVIDIA container was consuming half of the GPU, but closing it didn’t stop the excessive usage. After a printscreen from Task Manager, you tried reinstalling the driver, but that didn’t fix the problem. Your specs include an i5-9600K CPU, GTX 1660 Ti, and other components.

Consider using DDU and updating the newest driver from NVIDIA's website.

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean by "ddu." You mentioned formatting your computer but not resolving an issue, which seems confusing. Could you clarify what you're referring to?

Check if you reinstalled Windows via a USB drive or if the factory reset is necessary. Opt for a USB method instead of the built-in reset.

I also used a USB drive for a clean Windows setup, yet it still behaves the same. That’s worrying—I’m not sure I should spend more on a GPU.

Checked if DDU was used and reinstalled the newest drivers. Also looked at Task Manager to identify which app was consuming the GPU during spikes—sorted by GPU usage. It seems the issue isn’t likely a hardware problem.

It didn't function properly, resolved the issue temporarily, but it returned shortly afterward.

It seems there might be an issue with your setup. If a new Windows installation didn’t resolve the problem, try testing one game at a time or one program at a time.

I also attempted it, but it didn’t work... This model is two years old, and it’s never happened before.
