Hey there. I recently purchased a Zotac RTX 4080 AMP but haven’t managed to get my x570 motherboard to recognize it. The PC starts up normally, yet no display adapters appear in Device Manager. Since my CPU lacks an integrated graphics solution, I rely on Teamviewer to connect. I’ve had a GTX1060 and an old HD6450 that functioned perfectly before. Previously, with an RTX 2080 Ti and a custom water cooling setup, everything worked smoothly until I shipped it across Europe after reinstalling the original air cooler. Now, with the 4080, the same issue persists. I’ve tried updating my BIOS to the latest version, clearing CMOS, forcing PCIe 3.0/4.0, switching to the second PCIe slot, disconnecting one of the three 8-pin power cables from the 16-pin adapter, removing GPU drivers via DDU, and uninstalling all NVMe drives. The GPU powers on with LEDs illuminating and fans spinning. I’ve also tested both the 2080 Ti and the 4080 after applying these changes. I don’t have another PC to test the dual GPUs. If you have any suggestions, please share. System specs: CPU – AMD R9 3950x, Motherboard – Gigabyte x570 Aorus xtreme, RAM – 64GB G.SKILL 64GB at 3600MHz, SSD – Sabrent Rocket 1TB, PCIe 4.0, Power – Seasonic Prime Ultra 1000W, GPU – Zotac RTX 4080 AMP / Gainward RTX 2080 Ti, OS – Windows 10 Pro.

You're seeing the display through the card during installation? (Both?) When you reattach? Could there be driver problems? Did you try a DDU of the drivers and check if Windows recognizes them? It seems likely you might have driver issues now. If you have a second disk, consider a clean install and remove the other disk to confirm whether the issue stems from OS corruption or drivers. It probably points to software at this stage.

When accessing the UEFI with the GPU normally, the problem probably lies in the software, especially the drivers.

I haven't managed to get any display working from the 2080 Ti after upgrading it with the air cooler and switching to a different motherboard or the newer 4080. I attempted DDU but since the GPUs aren't recognized, I can't download or install drivers myself. A fresh Windows installation would be an option, though the current one is only a day or so left. It was quite old, needing an update from version 1909. The main problem is that I'd need to access the BIOS, and even without any drives it's not working on video output.

Your screen output comes from the built-in VGA or HDMI connection. Have you checked if the IGP is turned off so it doesn’t override your PCI GPU’s settings?

Only the 1060 Ti and the HD 6450 are compatible with the UEFI. The 2080 Ti and 4080 don't work.

I don’t have a dedicated GPU. The only reason I see the PC start up normally and the GPUs aren’t detected is because I connect remotely via TeamViewer from my laptop. Even though the screen appears black, I can still control the PC through TeamViewer. The Device Manager doesn’t list any display adapters.

It seems odd... The screen is linked to the same display, showing identical output from all four units.

Sure, I also tested DP and HDMI. If the problem was with the actual output, I’d have expected to see the GPU listed in Device Manager or Task Manager when connecting to the PC via TeamViewer.
