I own an older laptop from 2018 with an ASUS Rog GL503GE. It has an Intel Core i5-8300H and an Intel 1050 Ti processor. The Windows 11 version I'm using is 551.76, and I've tried updating and downgrading drivers in Device Manager. After resetting the CMOS and checking the BIOS, it still wouldn't detect the device. I cleaned it, replaced the thermal paste, and the integrated GPU seems to be working. As a student, I don’t have funds to replace it, but is there any chance I could get it fixed or revived? The left side shows the GPU, while the right side shows the CPU.

Do the dark areas appear as burn marks? Is there black staining on the board as well?

near the center copper zone on the left, the dark spot persists even after cleaning, suggesting a burnt mark. The remaining parts appear uniformly black, possibly indicating damage to the motherboard or GPU.

It seems the laptop might have overheated, leading to GPU failure, though I'm not entirely sure.

Yes, it's possible to adjust and fix it through some modifications.

Likely the issue won't be resolved if the GPU fails completely.

Sorry about the problem, give it a shot with these tips. -Use DDU in Safe Mode to safely remove your graphics drivers. Get DDU, start your laptop in Safe Mode, and follow the steps to delete your existing NVIDIA drivers. Once you reboot, install the newest drivers and check. -If your laptop lets you easily connect the graphics card, try re-seating or reinstalling it. -Install Techpower Up GPU and observe its details (you may not see the name, but you can identify your GPU by checking VRAM, bandwidth, etc.)

I removed the drivers via ddu, but they weren’t found in the bios. After installing new ones, the GPU still isn’t detected on the motherboard. The MPHTER board has a baked-in setting. How can I re-seat it? The screenshot from TechPower Hub shows the GPU not showing up, and it mentions memory and temperature readings sometimes affecting voltage.
