I’m a seasoned builder with no prior experience using a vertical mount for a GPU. I recently acquired an open-box RX 5080 at a reasonable price after abandoning the 5090. I installed it in my NZXT H9 Elite and noticed it’s positioned too close to the side panel, which could pose a risk if the power connectors bend. I purchased an NZXT vertical mount and set it up, but the right side of the card is actually closer to the side panel than the side with the brackets and ports. I’m unsure if this is the intended layout, as most images online don’t clearly indicate the correct orientation. I’ll share photos of exactly what I’m describing. If this isn’t standard, and someone has faced the same issue before, please let me know how to resolve it. My PC runs smoothly, but the setup is a bit frustrating, especially considering the $75 price tag. The last photo shows me forcing the card into place to achieve a straight appearance, which is what it should look like. The final picture is exaggerated because it’s hard to describe without sounding like a gamer. Maybe I’m just confused. It doesn’t look good in photos, but in real life, now that I see it, I can’t ignore it.
Welcome to the discussions! To be honest, it's likely perfectly okay.
