The GPU clip disconnected unexpectedly.
I was attempting to upgrade my GPU and noticed it doesn't secure itself beyond the screws. Does the motherboard remain functional?
it's simply a small plastic component inside the GPU, what i did was secure it firmly into the chassis and it functions properly
It's all good, won't just drop off easily. I've got some older boards missing their clips, but they're still functioning properly. They might shift a bit when moving around in a LAN setup, so just be careful pushing the graphics card back.
You can extract the clip from a deceased mobile game, though it remains functional.
