psu lacks sufficient strength likely due to a subpar OEM 150w unit that only supports the CPU. Your GPU continues drawing 75w from the motherboard’s PCIe port. If your GPU uses PCIe power, it must be linked to the psu as well.

The name MSI refers to their cooler design, not the GPU itself. Regarding the PCIe power pin issue, you don’t need the specific pin configuration if your graphics card supports standard power delivery.
