Hello, I just acquired a new PC with an Intel i5 13600k, ADATA 32GB, 6000GB RAM, Z790 UD motherboard. When I turn on XMP, I notice buzzing or scratching sounds occasionally—especially during tasks like browsing the web, but not when idle. Disabling XMP stops the noise, so it seems the issue is related to XMP settings. The video you shared shows similar sounds on a Gigabyte motherboard. For me, changing to C-state mode didn’t resolve the problem. Please let me know if anyone has a solution.

DDR5 DIMMs may produce coil whine. It’s likely because raising the voltage when enabling XMP causes the whining. You might improve things by adjusting some PMIC settings, especially the switching frequency—it’s probably the biggest factor, though results won’t be dramatic. Try reducing the PMIC’s switching frequency and see if it helps.

There’s nothing to delete the clutter from? What should I swap in? motherbored or ram?

Also try adjusting the switching frequency in the BIOS to check for improvement. If that doesn’t work, the issue is likely with the RAM.
