The Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 build isn't working—what can I do?
The device starts up briefly then remains silent, never showing a screen or BIOS. The monitor fails to detect any signal, and the system stays powered without a display or splash. Even when connected to another machine, the monitor and cable work normally. I've already tried several fixes—replacing RAM sticks, swapping drives, clearing CMOS, and checking fans. The issue persists despite using an AIO and following the correct fan settings. Could something be stuck or misaligned?
I used a specific technique to remove the CMOS. If it involved disconnecting the coin cell, I suggest testing the jumpers instead.
Ensure it restarts multiple times for memory training. Allow it to run for roughly a minute. If no progress, inspect the debug indicators and search for the relevant code.
If the board is revision 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2 and has been stored for a while, it might need a BIOS upgrade to work with the 5600. "5000 Series Ready" likely refers to the original Ryzen 5000 launch, which only supported X chips. Based on Gigabyte's information, this board supports the 5600 only with BIOS version F14 and newer.
