I bought the Aorus RTX 4090 Gaming OC Edition from Gigabyte and set it up on my system. Before that, I had a 3090 without any problems. My MSI Z590 Pro Wifi CEC i7-11700K with 80GB Seasonic memory and Windows 10 Home Day 1 was running smoothly. After updating the latest Nvidia drivers, I tested Blender and noticed significant performance improvements. Then I played Cyberpunk for several hours straight at maximum settings without any issues. After shutdown, I returned to the PC and encountered driver crashes while using Blender. I briefly used Cycles before it would crash the driver. No freezes or BSODs occurred. I attempted Cyberpunk again, but it would crash to the desktop. The CTD errors appeared during legal screens or after about two minutes of gameplay. My troubleshooting steps included the JayzTwoCents DDU method, restarting in safe mode, disabling automatic driver installs, and manually reinstalling the latest Nvidia driver. After rebooting and running Cyberpunk again, I found repeated CTD errors with the message "nvlddmkm." I tried adjusting file permissions and rerunning DDU, but crashes persisted. I cleaned the system with DDU, reinstalled Windows with user files, and updated the motherboard BIOS. I experimented with different clock speeds and power limits, even testing dual BIOS options on the card. Eventually, I replaced the 3090 with the new GPU and everything worked perfectly. I contacted Gigabyte Tech Support, who admitted they didn’t have technical documentation for the card yet. They offered assistance but acknowledged I was stuck with further research. I’m hoping to resolve this without opening an RMA, but I’m unsure if it’s worth the effort with a $1700 GPU already installed. If anyone has faced similar problems, please share your experience.

Remember you're testing for the new product lineup. It looks like the support setup isn't in place yet. Your actions seem right, but if problems persist, the device is probably faulty. What operating system are you using?

Windows 10, newest version installed via that fresh update I performed. My backup plan is to install it on a colleague's machine to observe its performance. I understand the situation isn't ideal, but I haven't encountered many similar issues online yet.

It might just be a small unit with limited resources. If your teammates can manage it, give it a try. Once it functions well, it’s time to assess further.

It can handle titles such as Rainbow Sox Siege, meaning it's not completely broken. It might be related to the RT cores or a power problem. The crashes seem odd, especially with games that use ray tracing.

Run a benchmark using unigene superposition and other intensive tasks that avoid triggering RT cores.

It seems your card may be damaged, so it’s probably safe to reinstall the drivers I’ve mentioned. Some users report that the 40 series drivers can be unstable on certain Windows 10 versions.

Just to add a bit, I'm facing the same problem but reformatted it too. It doesn't matter if it's loaded—it still fails on the desktop. Aorus Xtreme x570 5950X 4x32GB G.Skill Seasonic TX-1000 and more.

I believe I've reinstalled drivers multiple times, at least 15. Also, a clean installation was done as well.
