After playing the game for roughly twenty hours, adjusting the graphics options and researching online, I’ve reached a clear opinion: FXIII is essentially another poorly translated version for PC. It’s frustrating to see PC players being overlooked despite strong Steam sales. Here are my main points about the game: 1) there appears to be a major memory issue, with the page file hitting 40GB after just 2–3 hours of play. 2) visuals either fail or flicker when settings aren’t optimized (like grass glitching if NVIDIA Turbo is off). 3) the overall frame rate is terrible—no matter what you tweak, the game drops at around 40% to 50% even at 55fps. I was so upset I forced it down to 30fps with poor resolution and settings, but it still lagged during battles. The last time I played was FXIII 3.0 five years ago, which ran smoothly on my older Razer Blade. If anyone has advice on fixing the frame rate, please share. Things I’ve tried: 1) moved the pagefile to a separate SSD for better separation. 2) set NVIDIA control panel to max performance. 3) used RivaTuner to cap frames at 55fps. (By the way, I’m playing on my desktop at the bottom.) Thanks!

It might not be the processor's issue at all.

You're seeing around 63fps on a mobile device with a 1060 chip, which is quite low. The specs you mentioned suggest a decent setup, but the performance might be limited by factors like software settings, background processes, or hardware limitations. Consider checking for updates, adjusting power management, or ensuring no resource-heavy apps are running in the background.

your current settings allow very high frame rates, but stability is affected. In some intense fights the rate falls to around 30 fps.

The only issue I experience stems from the game running on my HDD rather than an SSD, which caused space problems and required relocation. Additionally, there were times when I neglected to enable the CPU throttling feature.

I understand you're very familiar with these topics but it's challenging for me to remain objective given the difficulties you're facing with the game's frame time, especially when others with strong systems are performing well. Have you checked your frame time graph with Rivatuner? Also, would you like to test scenarios with more enemies, such as a hunter's quest with four or more foes? Did you use any special K modifiers?

Sure, just let me know your current CPU and GPU utilization while you're using the device normally.

From the benchmark's combat sequence, featuring multiple foes, I'm unable to locate any in-game reference that matches what you're describing.
