I assembled a new machine a few months back and it has operated smoothly until now. I checked for overheating issues, noting the CPU reached about 80°C and the GPU around 70°C. I updated all drivers and ensured my Windows was current. I ran memory tests with MemTest86 and everything appeared normal. After resetting the system, I repeatedly used BleachBit. I double-checked all cables to make sure they were securely connected. Despite trying nearly every possible solution, the problem persists.

Specs:
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix
- Intel Core i7-13700K
- 32 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM
- Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F
- 2 Samsung 980 PRO SSDs
- H150i RGB ELITE Liquid CPU Cooler

There might be an issue with the newest Nvidia driver. Consider reinstalling an older version after using DDU to eliminate the existing one.

If the issue is just crashes, GPU memory problems might be the cause. It's unclear which Windows utility works best—perhaps using FurMark or Linux scripts could help.

You're asking about the meaning of "Crash" in the context of crashes or BSODs, and whether certain games are unaffected by them.

I've faced the crashes while using Rust, Black Ops 3, and Destiny 2. So far, these issues have been quite regular. By "crash," I mean the game suddenly shutting down completely, leaving everything else on my system working normally.

CTDs may vary—some are software, others hardware. Are there any games with available logs you could check?

I don’t have any information about that. I’ll check if they maintain logs and see if there are tools available to monitor crashes beyond the game’s own logs. Would you like me to look into background programs for crash detection?

I’ve run extensive tests on both my GPU and CPU without encountering any problems. If you have any software recommendations that could assist in diagnosing the issue, I’m open to trying them out.

I'm not sure about this. AMD offers "GPU Detective," but I'm unsure if NVIDIA provides a similar tool. You might want to look into the Event Viewer, though it seems unlikely to help during game closure. Have you heard of any recent updates? It's not just your GPU drivers that could cause issues—other programs running at the same time might interfere.
