Game alt-tabs always show no Windows notification, just the desktop remains. I have to switch tabs in the game or tap the taskbar icon to keep playing. After resetting my computer, it still only works with the Steam app downloaded. Any solutions?

I thought it might be a software trying to take control, but then you mentioned Steam, which is a windowed application (unless it's very large). The same behavior occurs when you press the Windows button—it often makes full-screen programs try to close.
