Hello, I purchased a used HP Omen 16 yesterday, but my games are still crashing and I’m unsure what’s causing it.
The laptop details are: RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB RAM, an Intel i7-12700 processor running up to 4.7GHz, and a 1TB SSD.
I’ve attached a screenshot from HWInfo showing the GPU specs — is everything normal here?

When playing CS2, the game stops after about 10 minutes, but the system stays open; only the game window freezes and I have to exit via Task Manager.
When starting STALKER 2, the display crashes during the intro, even before gameplay begins, and I also need to close the application through Task Manager.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I recently purchased a used HP Omen 16 laptop.
Make sure your device is running the latest BIOS version. Then, I would start by formatting the drive completely and reinstalling the operating system after creating a bootable USB installer for the OS. After installing the OS in offline mode, install all necessary drivers for your laptop through an elevated command—right-click the installer and select Run as Administrator—while using offline mode.
Where did you obtain the installers for the games referenced earlier?
Moved the thread from Graphics Cards to PC Gaming.

Check for any error notifications, alerts, or informational logs in Reliability History/Monitor and/or Event Viewer. Focus on entries recorded immediately prior to or during the game crashes.
