I've been eagerly anticipating this title and checked out two gameplay clips released today. The first seems promising, while the second appears quite bland. It blends simulation and arcade elements, which isn't inherently bad, but some areas feel underdeveloped and the sound design is uninspired. I understand it's likely not the final product, and I really hope the release delivers a strong experience. My excitement has dropped since the announcement last month.
It doesn't seem like an ideal subject for discussion. However, the first clip gives a 3D atmosphere with removed floors. Switching ships during combat feels like changing characters in Team Fortress 2 after being defeated. The second one appears somewhat monotonous. I’m not sure about the third, but coming from EA or its divisions I don’t really care.
I've never tried Team Fortress, so I can't give my thoughts, but the visual style is completely new. Regarding EA, if I hadn't played Fallen Order a lot, I'd feel more like myself. EA is gradually earning more respect from gamers with titles like Apex Legends and Fallen Order, and I hope they don't ruin that progress. Switching to Steam was a smart decision too.
