I played The Witcher 3 earlier today and everything worked smoothly. The next morning it started without any issues, even during loading. But once I began playing, the performance dropped drastically—slow and laggy, around 6 frames per second. I checked the game's cache and disabled GameDVR, but neither fixed the problem. What caused this change? How can I resolve it?

No, I don't recommend updating your GPU drivers unless necessary.

I started by launching Nvidia GeForce Experience and saving the Game Ready Driver, thinking it was already there but it wasn't working.

Have you verified which processes are active? Also, reset the game’s graphics configuration by setting everything to low, then gradually restore it. The changes might have occurred after updating the game. For example, after installing the patch for Blood and Wine, several settings were altered.

Determine which part of your system is underperforming by verifying GPU and CPU usage at full capacity, possibly using a benchmark test. Identify the specific component responsible for the issue.

I realized the issue was that my PC relied solely on the CPU's built-in graphics instead of a dedicated card. Both settings were active, so I checked the Device Manager and turned off the Intel graphics option.
