When playing Fortnite and my FPS drops to 100, the game runs like 20 FPS while 101 FPS feels normal. I experienced this issue with my GTX 1050 Ti and an i5-7400, suspecting my setup was insufficient. Upgrading to an AMD 5 2600 and RTX 2070 didn’t resolve the problem, leaving me confused about whether I had a high-end PC. I’ve shared what I’ve tried so far.

If you restrict frame rates to a lower value like 75fps and your monitor lacks adaptive sync for 75Hz, the display may struggle to maintain smooth visuals.

You mean bad frame pacing? Try download and use OCAT from GitHub to check for frame pacing issue.

Or perhaps it's minor network issues or fluctuations in your internet connection... I can't eliminate any possibilities.

Certainly, the ping is typically between 50-30 and generally doesn't impact the FPS.

Activating Vsync occasionally can sometimes make a difference

No, that doesn't work. I also have a 144hz monitor.
