Game is amazing, just the microstutter I hate. I still get in in Far Cry 3, unless someone has a fix for it. I've looked everywhere, did the whole "Variable Vsync" crap too in the Nvidia control panel, and even turned off Vsync, set all my settings low, and still get it.
Wait for the Day 1 update, along with driver patches and profiles.
Ubisoft keeps delivering disappointing products, and I’m betting their shares drop even more. Their performance isn’t just hype—it’s based on real history. They’re working on it, but even Far Cry 3 still struggles on high-end systems. On my GTX 770 and 680 I got smooth playback, but I never hit 100fps there either, unlike with my 780Ti.
The game has its flaws, but it’s not bad overall. The main problem is the stuttering that disrupts the flow. The story really grabbed me once I encountered the antagonist. Those characters you truly want to eliminate are the ones who make you feel a strong urge—especially when they reveal the protagonist's mother's ashes. I was so caught up I almost wanted to grab the table and choke on the person.
I'm just noting that a few of the mods seem a bit rigid. There was one who altered the word "shitty" in a title, making it too harsh for a thread I had to tone down.
I see your point. Watch Dogs feels rough, yet FC4 looks solid. The specs match: Intel I7-4790K at 4.7Ghz, Asus Maximus VII board, Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 at 2133Mhz, two AMD R9-290X GPUs, Asus case, Samsung 830 drives in RAID0, WD storage options, and an EVGA Supernova G2 power supply rated 1000W with Gold certification.
