I recently assembled my new PC last week. It features an Intel i7 8700K, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 WINDFORCE OC 8G cooler, Master MWE Bronze 650 ballistix sport DDR4 16GB, a Gigabyte Z370 Ultra Gaming SSD (500GB), a Seagate Barracuda 2TB SSD, and an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor. I’ve played games such as Battlefield 1 or GTA V, experiencing minor slowdowns only in single-player with brief 1-second freezes. The graphics card drivers were installed on an older version, which helped reduce GTA’s issues but worsened those of Battlefield. Using HD Tune, my disk benchmarks improved—minimum 3.7, maximum 200.7 MB/s, median 62.5 MB/s, burst rate 234.2 MB/s. I’m running the latest BIOS updates. Could it be that my SSD is entering sleep mode after one minute? After benchmarking frame rates, I haven’t noticed unusual drops. It’s confusing—I really don’t understand anymore. Anyone could assist?
