At first launch I encounter a black screen and must terminate it using Task Manager. Anyone has a remedy or suggestion about this problem? It looks like a recognized issue, though I haven’t found a solution yet.

I encountered a problem after upgrading to Windows 10. I fixed it by checking the file integrity, and the game now works smoothly. Hope this helps!

In Steam, select the game with a right-click, open properties, tap on "Local Files," and then go to "Verify Integrity of Game Cache."

Instead of attempting to log in, the system immediately shuts down upon startup. A window appears briefly and then vanishes after about half a second.
