CSGO seems to be really choppy, i am running it at 75hz 1080p maxed, but there are frame drops that make no sense from nowhere, plus latency on servers seems to be inconsistent, there was a small patch downloaded today anyone know what it was?

When you exceed 150fps, performance will suffer causing lag, drops, and increased latency.

Varies by platform; some maintain around 140-220 frames per second, while others may fall to as low as 100 fps.

Choose launch with "-threads 4", turn on multi-core rendering, pause all work, and exclude AA entirely.

I'm having trouble reaching full performance from my 580 even when I max out with 16xQAA—it feels like it's too strong for my CPU, especially in CSGO.

It seems your setup might be facing some constraints. The game isn't overly taxing, but your CPU could be the bottleneck during intense moments. I’d suggest considering an overclock if possible. Regarding temperatures, having multiple monitors helps track performance metrics like CPUz.

Engine source? Not sure. Might work. Try the launch mode to utilize all four cores and reduce AA and model precision slightly.

Maximum temperature reaches 51°C, while your card handles intense use (like in Crysis 3) up to 60°C.
