I'm facing the same issue while playing Assassin's Creed Origins. It repeatedly pauses at 'Checking for new content'. Anyone had success fixing this? Or is it better to switch to a cracked version?
I've tried waiting different amounts of time, from five minutes up to twenty minutes. Checking the game files didn't resolve the issue. Removing the game's folder in 'Documents' also didn't help. Running it with admin rights wasn't effective either. If the product doesn't work and the company refuses support, we might need to focus on cracks since they tend to run better. Also, paying for it doesn't mean it's a pirate file.
Weird. I didn't experience that. But hey, it's from Ubisoft. So....
