Digital Foundry confirmed it was 1440p, but that detail holds little weight for a trailer released well before the game's release. Final tweaks usually occur late in development, which explains the Watch Dogs situation. Early trailers are just hints of the developer's goals, not proof of what will work. Sometimes games are designed to appear less realistic in the final version to improve playability, since too much realism can complicate navigation. For instance, many titles feature dark areas at night and artificially light them for gameplay, unless the experience is intentionally crafted that way.

Also no functioning mirrors since "my CPU cycles!" isn't the issue. P.S.: Avoid drinking the DF cool-aid—they’re just part of these marketing tricks with their customized "analysis" and "testing." P.S.: If you believe I’m wrong, check how easily these restrictions can be fixed with simple tweaks (like dropping CRC checks to cut down on microstuttering and similar things). DF never tests this stuff (so they’re pointless).
