You recently set up a new SSD paired with Windows 11. After three days it functioned properly, but PUBG would crash every five minutes and thirty seconds after you started the game in Steam. It worked regardless of fullscreen, windowed mode, minimized view, lobby, or actual gameplay. I’ve played other titles like Hitman 2, Halo Infinite, and Rocket League without issues, and I can switch back to my older Windows 10 SSD. Most online discussions suggest installing Microsoft C++ Redistributables, but that hasn’t helped so far. Anyone else experiencing similar problems or any tips?

Yes, the 5950x AMD 64GB RAM system with Samsung 990 2TB SSD is suitable for running OS and PUBG. I thought the details didn’t matter since I can switch to Windows 10 and it functions properly. Still, I’m having trouble getting it to work.

Consider reverting to Windows 10. It may take some time, but it could be worth a shot.

I still use the old SSD setup and can switch back anytime without issues, but it limits me to just one game instead of upgrading to Windows 11. I’d rather skip playing it than reinstall Windows 10 and redo everything on the new drive now.

Are there additional programs active in the background? (MSI afternburner, Discord, mods)

I attempted to stop all recognized non-system tasks and reduced the list to what remains. Uncertain if any potential test items were overlooked.

Are you checking for the newest BIOS on your motherboard? Has the operating system been updated? Are the latest AMD chipset drivers installed? Are additional drivers current? Is the newest firmware applied to the new SSD?
