Hi everyone, I usually get about 350+ smooth FPS in every map, but on Ancient sometimes my numbers drop down to 140 at specific places. Even though the map is known as a heavy one, with my old graphics card it was always stable before. I've already cleaned up my computer and installed new drivers using DDU, then reinstalled Csgo. Nothing has worked so far. Could someone give me some advice? SPECS: Ryzen 5 5600x AMD Radeon rx6600 32gb RAM Kind regards, kaishh

The reason the game lags on the Ancient map is probably because of too much texture data. Turning down graphics usually fixes the lag. Also, make sure to put your card in the first main slot, just in case it's not there. It might sound weird or silly that this trick works sometimes, but you can try it. I can't blame developers for the hardware. They give you settings to balance quality and speed, but Ancient is an exception because they use way too many models. These heavy graphics need a lot of power from both the CPU and the GPU. Reflections and trees also slow things down on this map. There is nothing else to do about that. Which card did your old computer have? Remember, CS:GO needs most power from the CPU, but the GPU still matters when you pick different video settings.
