I purchased JC3 because it was discounted, but it doesn’t retain my progress. I’ve only played the initial 20 minutes since I’m preparing my new PC before diving in. My main issue is that there’s no saving capability. I’ve tried running it with admin rights, using compatibility mode, and mixing both settings, yet it still fails. It does generate a save folder at the correct path, but I’m unsure if it’s not updating saves or reading from them during restarts. Every time I restart, it appears as though I haven’t opened it before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Did you create an account upon beginning the game? Yes, it registers you and retains your progress. I faced the same issue earlier—after setting up an account, it also signed me in automatically.
You logged in to your Square Enix account without being asked to create one. Was the purchase made via Steam?
You completed the initial task? It seems you need to reach a specific milestone before progress is saved and the first mission resets.
