I believe I have a solid configuration: 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700K, G.Skill 64GB DDR5, Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite Zotac, NVIDIA RTX 3080, and LHR video card. The benchmark results from 3dmark.com show these specs. Despite adjusting graphics settings in games and the NVIDIA control panel, I’m consistently hitting 80-90 FPS (MW2 DMZ) with only 120 FPS achievable. The GPU temperatures remain within acceptable limits. I’m curious—shouldn’t I be able to maintain a steady 120 FPS? I noticed others with lower specifications manage it better.
Have you updated your previous drivers or installed the latest ones? Also, is this issue exclusive to this game?
It wasn't clear what "ddu'ed" meant, but everyone is now using the newest versions... For other titles, I haven't played them lately, so I can't confirm.
There are a few issues on your end. The Ryzen 5 5600X paired with those graphics cards still delivers 90-110 frames per second at medium to high settings in ultrawide mode.
You should investigate further to identify what's causing the issue. It might not be the monitor; consider testing other components or checking for software conflicts.
your screen runs at 60 hertz, so pushing beyond 60 fps won’t really matter since it won’t be noticeable. it could be a frame limit preventing higher rates.
The monitor case is sealed. A 60Hz rating means it caps at 60 frames per second. Higher FPS won’t be possible unless the screen supports a faster refresh rate.
Check your settings and ensure they support higher frame rates. Adjust resolution or game options to optimize performance.
Choose a monitor rated at 120 Hz with budget-friendly components. Ensure it supports at least 60 frames per second for smooth performance.
