Model: i5 1135G7 with 16GB DDR4 RAM and Intel Iris Xe graphics. Uses an M.2 SSD. Settings always default to dx11, though performance mode and dx11 are available. Prefer dx12 for steadier frame rates.

It wouldn’t be unexpected if your driver or hardware is excluded from D3D12 because of bugs. Verify you’re using the most recent Intel drivers from their site—not your laptop’s page or Windows Update—and if the issue persists, chances are limited options remain available.

Yeah, DX11 is still a bit shaky even at 30 FPS. But if you cap the frames per second to 30, the CPU spikes become less noticeable. I think DX12 should handle this better. I also think I can use DX12 with high settings and 900 PPS, but it still gets stuttery due to random CPU hiccups. Using low presets seems okay if it means fewer stutters. Just set TSR to low and low with DX12.
