Hello everyone, I believe I understand the issue. The computer attempts to play games at 1080p but the monitor only supports 1600x900 resolution. I’m unsure how to resolve this. Appreciate your assistance!

Run the game in a windowed mode by setting the Steam startup option to -windowed. After that, adjust the settings and remove it from the launch option if needed.

Unfortunately, it isn't functioning properly. I'm unable to play any games right now. I don't understand what went wrong.

Choose a 1080p display or just let out a sob like I would

It’s clear you’re frustrated. You’d rather fix something than waste money on a bad one.

do you own a second pc or laptop? i experienced this issue a few times, so i tried streaming the game to another machine and adjusting the resolution remotely. the stream automatically scales based on the other monitor's display size, allowing me to view menus and everything. an alternative method would be to instruct your graphics card driver to always output the monitor's native resolution and let it scale internally. nvidia drivers → perform scaling on: gpu amd drivers → enable gpu scaling

I own a 1060, and apparently it got messed up because of some steam inhome streaming.

It seems you're experiencing issues when home streaming is turned on. The driver method seems to work well for you, especially with your 1680x1050 monitors and the ability to run games at 1920x1080 if required.
