Hey everyone, anyone know if the Resident Evil Village village version uses AVX technology? I haven’t found any details on the internet, even on Capcom’s site. I tried using the latest AVX emulator from Intel, but it still won’t start. My CPU isn’t AVX-compatible and I’m not sure if the game supports it. Thanks!

When not mentioned, it's omitted. The text highlights that a CPU needing AVX support is essential. AVX first appeared in Sandy Bridge Intel processors, and the baseline specs suggest older CPUs would struggle significantly. Additionally, you'd likely encounter Denuvo DRM issues with such games.

You're unsure if your device lacks the necessary capabilities, as minimum requirements aren't guaranteed. Not every publisher mentions this explicitly.

I possess a strong CPU, but unfortunately it lacks AVX support. That’s why I inquired whether the game needs AVX, but no one confirmed it. I’m uncertain for sure. Still, I’ll switch my platform. It’s disappointing because I have a top-tier CPU, yet without AVX it feels like a loss. I really dislike these instructions—especially AVX. For that, I’ll invest in a CPU with all available features like AVX2 and AVX512, so I’m confident it will work for years to come. This is frustrating with my old CPU, but I can run the latest games like FarCry 6 without issues, which don’t require those advanced instructions. It’s not fair that I have to compromise now.

Incorrect. For instance Dying Light 2:Stay human needs AVX to operate.

You're mistaken—some developers specify it, which isn't the usual approach. Please verify the CPU requirements as mentioned.

Currently, without AVX it's no longer considered a suitable CPU.

I'm hurt because I had to give up on a legendary processor. It's the i7 x990, and it lacks AVX instructions. I need to let it go since it doesn't fit my needs. This memory will stay with me forever.
