I've faced this challenge for more than a year. While playing Helldivers 2, my computer would suddenly shut down without any clear reason, even though it worked before. I checked online for similar problems but found no matches. I attempted to run the game at the lowest possible settings with no success. My CPU and GPU temperatures stayed normal—peaking at 70°C on the CPU and 50°C on the GPU. I upgraded my power supply from 600W to 850W, but it didn’t help. I connected the PC to a separate outlet, but the issue persisted. Fresh installation of the game and OS didn’t resolve it. I’ve tried different storage drives, updated RAM in various ports, and even swapped out RAM sticks to test for faults, yet nothing changed. Windows Event Viewer showed no red flags. I disassembled and reassembled my computer. I also ran other demanding games at medium or higher settings without any problems. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Mortal Kombat 1, Path Of Exile 2, Battlefield 6, Warframe, Elden Ring (DLC), Hunt Showdown 1869, Apex Legends, Subnautica, Dying Light 1-2&3, and Grounded. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Edit: I haven’t used MemTest yet, but I’ve experimented with RAM configurations in different ports without success. Specifications: PC Part Picker – CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X; Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit Evo 69; GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 7600 XT; Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B550-Plus ATX AM4; RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3600, 2x16GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 3600; SSD: 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0; PSU: Deepcool 850W 80+ Gold; Fans: upHere 120mm x5, 3 front, 1 back; Monitor: 1440p 144Hz Koorui Curved; Connected via DisplayPort to GPU. Updated February 13 by TheDapperRat. Any insights would be helpful.]

It seems you're experiencing odd or hard-to-explain issues that might be memory-related. I notice mismatched RAM settings, which isn't inherently a problem but could be a contributing factor. Consider using Memtest86. Download it, install it on a USB drive, and run it as a boot device. If it encounters failures or errors, test with just one RAM configuration at a time.

You're experiencing the same problem for several weeks now. Despite having a solid, recent machine—AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4200 AM5 WOF, RTX 4080 SU, 1000W power supply, and 32GB DDR5 RAM—it hasn't overheated. People keep suggesting it's a PC issue, but I'm finding it hard to accept.
