So, Black Ops 3 seems to have performance issues for many players. Despite adjusting settings and checking online advice, I’m still experiencing stutters and frame drops, even after removing driver traces. It looks like the problem might not be with the CPU itself, but rather something else affecting stability. I’m considering upgrading my hardware or spending more on a better system if this continues.

I'm testing it on a 1GB 560 and an i7 965 with 16GB RAM. Before it worked, I had 6GB but it would stutter badly. Once I got to 16GB RAM, the stuttering stopped. The day one patch helped as well. Memory optimization isn't great, so make sure you have enough RAM. Even though I'm using the 560, I can play at 720p and keep around 60 FPS. Note I haven't touched MP3 since the first week; mostly playing Zombies. Edit: It's possible it's due to card-specific optimizations. Just my experience so far – it's been great with my potato 560.

You're using 16 gigabytes of RAM. In-game usage shows it consumes about 10 gigabytes, and the max stays under 12 gigabytes, so you have ample space. You're keeping an eye on your card's VRAM and tweaking graphics settings to avoid hitting the limit while still experiencing stuttering.

Have you explored the 58fps cap and VSync disabled settings? Some users suggest tweaking the INI file to avoid overusing VRAM, though I’m not certain. Also, is the stuttering happening while playing MP?

Sure, I attempted various adjustments to the .ini/.cfg files, but it didn't resolve the issue. As mentioned in the original link, I've explored all possible solutions without success.

I never managed to get my 770 to perform well in the game. It doesn’t seem like they’ve adjusted for this card at all—it’s causing serious issues, with many players reporting terrible results.
