Yes, a Phenom II Quad with 7770 memory can handle a high clock speed OFC for that game at speeds over 30.

It seems unclear, but you're wondering if a 7770 is outdated and whether someone could still use it effectively.

The engine performs well and scales nicely. There are videos showing people using it, so I’m pretty confident about the CPU performance.

You're seeing solid performance from your setup, but it's surprising how many can handle it. Your friend with a more powerful machine still manages to play, so it's not unrealistic. Whether it's fun depends on your preferences.

Can't launch it on my 2500k and 290 with ultra/very high settings without lag or stuttering and poor FPS. Probably best to try it at low, though I'm skeptical. Right now, Star Citizen isn't optimized well. Arena Commander is still in Alpha development. The last few updates made big improvements, but it's not quite there yet.

You might be able to run it at 720p but the game isn't fully optimised, multiplayer seems fine but Vanduul swarm I see dips to 7fps at times and can run at about 20fps at times, that's on a 4690k. It is still a work in progress.

Another discussion is linked at I wouldn't suggest it unless you already own the game—it would be a waste. This thread has been locked before, so it’s not new.

Initially I thought this, but I realized the issue. The game feels too rough to play smoothly, yet it runs at around 30 frames per second on an Athlon processor.

The [satire] discussion is on page 2, and there was the Deep Star Corp. situation. It seems it was taken down, though. For handling the files, I haven’t attempted it myself—it’s a bit uncertain, but it’s amusing how people keep finding ways around it.
