That's a good idea.

I've used driver 497.29 but it isn't visible. The VSync setting remains enabled.

Check if the included cable supports G-Sync and whether the Nvidia control panel recognizes it when you connect just the G-sync monitor.

It would be best to reach out to support now, as I've already attempted the most common solutions

Maybe I'm not smart enough to figure this out. The Nvidia site lists G-Sync monitors, but it shows HDMI instead of a display port. It says G-Sync compatible on the panel, but only supports 144Hz, not 240Hz. At least now it's working with G-Sync at Moonzy and Bad5ector.

HDMI supports speeds up to 144Hz, it seems Dell didn’t limit the display to just G-SYNC on HDMI. That’s not very smart.

In reality, I’m still confused too. It could be because my cables are v1.2 and that shouldn’t matter. I bought a 1.4 on Amazon just to test it out. What’s odd is I remember last summer when my monitor was the same model, so I switched to DP for higher refresh rates. My games never reach 240fps, so now I’m questioning whether G-Sync is worth the effort.

They say a new monitor appeared without cables. I also faced problems with G-Sync on my screen due to a cable. Using a better quality (not extremely expensive) 1.4 DP cable from Amazon worked fine up to 120Hz at 4K. With the original cable from the monitor, everything functions properly (G-Sync 144Hz at 4K).

The monitor must include a cord suitable for its function

The answer came easily, using a traditional method. Turn off the monitor briefly and then restart it. The G-Sync part required a restart.
