I'm excited about the upcoming OpenGL version named Vulkan. It seems to be a different direction from Microsoft's approach.

You haven't ever played a game from Quantic Dream. They're considered top creators in the storytelling genre.

I was emotional at the end of TWD Season 2. The poor graphics were frustrating, BUT it’s clear there’s a big contrast between low-quality visuals and a unique art direction. For me, art style, engaging gameplay, and decent graphics (except sometimes in first-person shooters where they feel uninspired) all need to work together for a game to shine.

Ryse struggled partly because the developers invested heavily in DEM GFX, which overshadowed the core gameplay. Deus Ex 1 feels outdated compared to current standards, yet its mechanics and depth still impress with complexity.

Sure, I'm not alone in finding this "classic games are the best" idea confusing. It's similar to how people suggest fear, even though it doesn't really work. In reality, it can feel like a dull experience.

Visuals significantly enhance gameplay experience. For instance, effective weapon handling relies heavily on smooth animations and sound effects to create a rewarding feel. If shooting with a rifle sounds like a toy, it indicates an issue. Much of the challenge stems from publishers, as executives often control finances, making it difficult for games to sustain high revenue.
