I'm feeling anxious. I tried connecting everything and plugging the power supply in to see if it worked. The lights came on and the fans started, but some didn't light up or spin at all. After removing the power supply, I connected the cables I thought might have been missed, then tried again. Still nothing. I've changed cables and tested different connections, but it's still not working. I'm confused—was there a short circuit? What could be wrong?

Sure, I can capture some images of the build. Let's see what we can find. You mentioned possibly misplacing a cable—maybe it’s worth checking.

Well, actually, in this situation it's best to begin fresh—starting from the basics. Ignore the motherboard packaging and focus on the cardboard box; skip the anti-static tape since it could conduct electricity. If it doesn't work, share some photos of the current setup so others can quickly identify the issue. Probably means you misplaced or damaged a cable somewhere. Of course, posting images of your latest build first might help people notice the problem faster.

I went to work and couldn’t review the thread beforehand. Here are some build photos I have; I’m really new, so maybe I missed something.

Find your CPU cooler in the designated area for cooling components. The graphics card is typically located on the motherboard or a separate graphics card slot, depending on your system design. If the processor lacks built-in graphics, it will be connected to an external graphics card.

I took out the CPU cooler to place some cables more comfortably, but during the first test it only worked for about five seconds. The same happened with the graphics card—waiting to mount everything would have been tougher because it’s large.

Some boards require a fan to link with the CPU fan header. Uncertain about performance without a GPU. Consider resetting CMOS by removing the battery. On your board, the battery is near the back ports; gently pull the connector off. You might need to remove the board from its case. Test it outside—if it fails, avoid moving it frequently. For example, did you run the system for 5 seconds without the cooler and GPU? Does your board show diagnostic LEDs or beeping sounds? Try charging your phone via USB while turning it on to check if the motherboard receives power.

It wasn't connected when first booting, but I'll attempt to do so again. I connected the GPU but got nothing; USB charging also failed. The motherboard doesn’t show any LED indicators or beeping sounds, and the manual doesn’t mention them. This weekend I’ll take everything off and rebuild it from scratch. If that doesn’t work, I’ll look for a replacement board since it seems likely to be the issue.

Thanks to all the helpers, I finally understood the issue—I'm surprised you didn't notice it earlier! It seems my PSU only functions in specific orientations, like the one suggested in the manual (facing upside down so the fan exhausts under the case). Sometimes it works, other times not. We guessed this by accident. Now the main question is: can anyone suggest a fix besides replacing the power supply? PXL_20221111_202139781.mp4

Pay close attention, I experienced this too for five minutes... right away I sent it back... an RXMX (Corsair) seems to indicate the PSU is completely faulty. You might verify the connections, but beyond that I’m not convinced.
