I recently upgraded my PC from a basic 2-core system to a Ryzen 3 2200G setup featuring a Gigabyte A320M-S2H (bios version F58d), 8GB of DDR4 at 2133MHz, and a 500W power supply. Initially, I kept everything else unchanged—just the new CPU and storage. The system would shut down repeatedly, sometimes five times a day, with no more than an hour passing between each freeze. When it froze, the screen went black, but the computer seemed to be running. I tried switching the PSU to a higher-wattage model from Chieftec, which reduced the frequency of freezes by about one or two per day. After that, I added a GTE210 UPS, which cut the freeze rate down to just once a day, though it still occurred occasionally. Today it happened again twice. There are two other PCs on the same circuit but not connected to the UPS, and they’re functioning perfectly. One of them was temporarily swapped in due to a Windows problem; it had an 800W PSU with an i5-6402P and 16GB RAM, which worked fine. I think the issue might be related to power delivery or a hardware fault on the motherboard, even with the UPS. Drivers are up to date.

I think I've read somewhere that Core parking on older AMD Ryzen cpus could cause problems like that. Disable Core parking in your bios, or in Windows with an app, ParkControl for example. If you still get freezes and/or shutdowns atleast we know it wasn't related to Core parking.

I tried, but I understand why you need it specified.

Today it got really cold, which meant no space for cars in the center lot.

It's good to know it's not possible. The components you used—CPU and motherboard—are likely not original.

The processor and motherboard come from a digital store, while the RAM is from my previous setup.
