When purchasing 7 or 8, you bypass the installation process to obtain 10. Simply download 10 from Microsoft, install it, enter the 7 or 8 key, and it will activate.

I understand. Based on what I know, you likely don't need a copy of 7 or 8; you can simply create a bootable drive on another system and use it.
